St. Mark's E-mail Prayer Network

Martha's Kitchen is a group of 12 community churches who provide a warm meal and fellowship to low-income individuals and families every Friday evening.  Martha's Kitchen is held at the First United Methodist Church, 1506 E. Wooster Street, Bowling Green.  Each of the churches is responsible for preparing and serving a meal once every 12 weeks.  We prepare food for 50 people.

As a volunteer, you may be asked to provide food for the meal or to help prepare and/or serve the meal.  Those who help on the day of the meal may volunteer to work one or both shifts:  3:30 pm to 5:00 pm or 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.   You may be asked to help with preparation of the food, serve the meal, assist individuals with the carrying of their trays, wash dishes,  clean-up, sweep floors, etc.

If you are interested in helping with this uplifting community ministry, you may contact Deb Marten at (419) 352-6979 (email: jdmarten@wcnet.org) or sign up on the sign up sheet posted outside the church office when our turn comes around.
