
MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of the St. Mark’s Personnel Ministry
Team, in the spirit of Christian leadership and within the concept of Mutual
Ministry, is to establish and help maintain a human resource infrastructure
which will assist and enable the professional staff, organizational units, and
lay members of the congregation to work together cooperatively in a way that
facilitates the spiritual and personal growth of each individual and supports
the vision of the church.
FOCUS AREAS
The Personnel Ministry Team
will work collaboratively with the Pastor, Parish Administrator, and Church
Council to:
- Evaluate the St. Mark’s
staffing plan and ensure that the plan facilitates the congregational vision.
- Establish and help
implement appropriate and legally acceptable human resource processes.
- Ensure that written job
descriptions are maintained for all staff which clarify roles,
responsibilities, authority levels, and reporting relationships.
- Ensure that a Personnel
Handbook exists and that it adheres to legal guidelines, is kept updated, and
is available to all staff and Council members.
- Make compensation and
benefits recommendations to Council.
- Ensure that all approved
staff positions are filled with qualified personnel.
- Serve as a support to the
Council, professional staff, organizational units, and the congregation of St.
Mark’s to ensure that human resource needs and concerns are met.
