The UPWARD WAY PUPPET MINISTRY ministers to people of all ages through drama, music and humor. This team serves as a witness for Christ, with each person using his or her God-given abilities.

The UPWARD WAY PUPPET MINISTRY is an ongoing ministry that strives to encourage Christians in their faith and to share the gospel with others. The ministry meets every Wednesday from 5:30 - 7:00pm in the Puppets room (room 54) at St Mark’s, except during the holidays when we take a break.

Although we are a year round ministry we do take breaks between performances. Some performances that we have done in the past have been at the Senior Citizen Center in Bowling Green, the Wood County Hospital celebration, St Martin’s Church in Archbold for their children’s bible study finale, and for many of St Mark’s activities.

We welcome anyone from age 8 to 108 to come join our ministry. There are many different activities that go into putting together a performance, such as picking out songs/skits, making tapes and typing out the words of the songs/skits for the puppeteers, making scenery just to name a few. There are also behind the scene activities like starting and stopping the music, changing the costumes on the puppets, and getting scenery for the next song/skit ready. So even if you don’t feel that using a puppet is for you there are many other ways that you can help our ministry spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
